The Chicago School for Special Education is certified by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) as a nonpublic special education facility that services children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, PDD-NOS, emotional/behavioral disorders, specific learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, and other health impairments.

Using the standards of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB), while also incorporating social and relationship development, we offer year-round 1:1 student to teacher instruction. We create individualized educational plans for each of our students, which can be quickly adjusted based on their needs and progress. Our dedicated and enthusiastic instructors far exceed minimum requirements. All of our instructors hold Bachelor degrees in human service-related fields, and most are currently working on graduate degrees in the fields of Special Education, Behavior Analysis, Psychology and related fields. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), RDI ® Consultants, Lead Teachers and support staff continually monitor each child's case, in order to achieve constant growth both academically and socially.
