The Chicago Education Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children and families with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), behavioral disorders and special learning disabilities.
We offer school and clinic-based services to the community through our two divisions: The Chicago School for Special Education and our clinic, The Chicago Education Center. Located just outside of Chicago, Illinois, CEP is committed to providing our students and families with every advantage, including providing the best individualized instruction for each child. We use scientifically-based principles to create individualized treatment plans (ITPs) that address our students' unique needs. Emphasis is placed on creating motivating environments, in which children enjoy learning and are able to reach their full potential.
Our Core Values:
- Provide students with an environment where they are motivated to actively participate
- Encourage and prepare parents to be active participants in their child's education
- Provide programs that address the core deficits of autism
- Research new ideas and methods that are scientifically-based
- Respect each student's individual personality and create programs that foster confidence and competence
- Form partnerships with local school districts and train professionals on educating children with ASD and other disorders
- Promote community awareness about autism and available treatments
- Ensure student success and program integrity by consulting with independent evaluators
